What is Indoor Air Quality Testing?

Indoor air quality (IAQ) testing evaluates environmental conditions inside a home or commercial building that may be affecting occupant comfort, respiratory health, overall well-being, and building performance.

Many indoor environmental problems cannot be identified through visual inspection alone, so samples from the indoor environment provide additional insight needed to fully assess what is going on in the indoor environment. Various sample types are collected through the use of advanced technologies and tools to identify what is going on with the property.

Depending on the situation, testing may include the evaluation of airborne particles, surface and dust reservoirs, moisture conditions, ventilation performance, microbial contamination, VOCs (volatile organic compounds), HVAC-related concerns, and other environmental factors contributing to indoor air quality problems.
